The 2024 BallenIsles Art Show

Today is your last chance to view the Ballenisles Art Show 2024 before it’s history. We’ve had a spectacular display for more than 2 weeks of the art produced by 87 talented painters, sculptors, photographers, potters and needlepoint artists in the Ballenisles Art Club. Opening with a gala for the artists on January 8th, I was lucky enough to have my most recent work, The Duchess and Tribute (to honor the life and work of Tony Bennett), displayed prominently in our beautiful lobby. While our community loves its games—golf, tennis, pickleball, bocce, etc.—it’s wonderful to see that feeding our souls with art is also high on our list!

OPEN ART EXHIBITION AT lightspacetime.art

This has been an unusual year for me, with so many commitments and pressures that I haven’t taken the time to enter the art competitions at the LightSpaceTime Online Gallery for months. So with just a few days remaining in this year’s Open Competition, with no restrictions as to subjects, I entered the last two paintings I finished this year. Instant gratification!! I received an email just two days later, congratulating me on being chosen for Special Recognition for the Painting & Other Media Exhibition through the next 3 months on their website: lightspacetime.art! The gallery received 683 entries from 23 different countries, as well as from 33 different states, so I’m proud to have The Duchess be a part of it. http://www.nancysatinart.com/2023//11/15/openartexhigitionatlightspacetime.art

The Boca Imaging Center Exhibit | SPOTLIGHT 22/23

I enter art competitions with some regularity to confirm my belief in myself as an artist when other eyes get to view my work. Last October there was a call for artists to enter a multi-media exhibit, Fall for Art, at the JCC in Boca Raton, so I joined Women In The Visual Arts (WITVA) in south Florida and displayed two paintings in the show. Before the year was up, there was another call for a special exhibit that was only open to five or six artists of all who applied. This exhibit has been running since 2013, thanks to curator Edie Minkoff, who is on the board of WITVA. I entered 8 paintings and hoped for the best.

DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!

I am greatly honored to have been chosen as one of only six artists in WITVA to participate in SPOTLIGHT 22/23, a collection of One Woman Shows at the Boca Imaging Center at 7070 W Palmetto Park Road in Boca Raton. The art is available for viewing and sales Mondays-Fridays from 9AM to 5PM for the next year or so. The link to the YouTube video for SPOTLIGHT 22/23 is: https://youtu.be/aBlovXGNxkw. It is my privilege to have these six paintings displayed there…

The 2023 BallenIsles Art Show

The annual BallenIsles Art Show opened last night, featuring wonderful art in different mediums by the many talented residents who live and create here.

It was particularly special because after the last two years of wearing masks and few celebrations, we enjoyed a fabulous Gala, complete with cocktail party and spectacular dinner.

The show can be viewed through January 27th.

4th Annual Primary Colors Exhibit | November 2022

Anticipation

The LightSpaceTime Online Gallery held its Primary Colors juried competition from August through October, receiving 596 entries from 23 different countries and 31 states plus the District of Columbia. It was a call for art that used at least one of the primary colors (red, blue &/or yellow) as a key element, so I entered Anticipation in the Painting and Other Media category. How nice to have received an award for Special Recognition today–the exhibit will be featured on the website homepage: http://www.lightspacetime.art for the next three months. #feelinggrateful

11th Annual All Women Art Exhibition | February 2022

Blue Mood

The LightSpaceTime Gallery’s competition for January was open to 2D & 3D women artists only and appropriately had an open theme. The gallery received 1,147 entries from women artists in 30 different countries around the world, as well as from 41 different states and the District of Columbia. With such a huge field, I am particularly proud that Blue Mood received Special Recognition in the Painting and Other Media category. The exhibit can be viewed this month, February 2022, on lightspacetime.art. Enjoy the all women show!

Special Recognition

I entered my first online art competition at the Light Space & Time Online Gallery in April of 2017 and have been awarded 8 Special Merit Awards and 25 Special Recognition honors for my work in 28 of their online exhibitions since, including the 3rd Annual 555 Special Art Exhibition that opened today. Double Exposure took the honors, my effort to simulate a photographic effect in oil paint. You can view the exhibit at lightspacetime.art through the end of the month. #feelinggratified

Always Good To Get Good News

Waking up after a wonderful but exhausting weekend at my grandniece’s wedding in Charlottesville VA, I found an email from the Light Space & Time Online Gallery, congratulating me on winning Special Recognition for Shall We Dance? in their 11th Annual Animals Art Exhibition for June 2021. Proud to be included among the 230 winning artists featured in the Painting and Other Media Category, there were 895 total entries from 29 countries around the world and 35 different states and the District of Columbia competing for prizes in the Photography & Digital Category and 3 Dimensional Art Category as well. All the animals will be on view for the month of June on lightspacetime.art.

A Sign of the Times

When January comes along, it’s usually time for the BallenIsles Art Show. Despite the pandemic and luckily for 58 of the artists who live here, the art show opened today. It’s always a treat to see the work of so many talented people displayed, even if we have to be screened to enter the clubhouse, wear masks and be socially distanced. I can’t think of anything better to feed our souls right now than enjoying art…

10th Annual All Women Exhibition

I have managed to navigate pretty well through these strange and terrible times we’ve been living through, thanks at least in part to finishing ten paintings since last March. As much as I like a painting class, these days I’m grateful to be able to paint in my own studio at home. Good news also helps. I entered the Light Space Time Online Gallery’s 10th Annual All Women competition at the end of the year and was thrilled to hear that my tenth painting, In the Pink, won Special Recognition. The gallery received 1,093 entries from all over the world and saw fit to honor more than 150 of those women artists. The exhibition will be available for viewing on lightspacetime.art for the month of January. Some good news indeed…

Special Recognition

I’ve been working on a big commission all month and have hardly had any time for anything else, but I kept receiving bulletins from lightspacetime.art about entering their 10th Annual Open (no theme) Exhibition and finally sat down to choose the five paintings I wanted to submit, just a day before the deadline. The best part of entering near the end is that you receive the results pretty quickly, so less than a week later I find that Dancing the Night Away received Special Recognition out of 1004 entries from the U.S. and around the world. All winning entries will be featured on the Light Space & Time website for the month of November 2020. In these terrible times, it’s lovely to get some good news!

10th Anniversary Art Exhibition

JJ the Beast

Needless to say, in this time of Covid-19, everyone has to try hard to have a positive attitude and keep their spirits up. For me, that means FaceTime with my kids and grandkids, painting, playing golf, working out and staying in touch with good friends. Last week, I neglected to check what Gmail characterizes as Promotions and didn’t see that JJ the Beast had won Special Recognition in Light Space Time Online Gallery’s 10th Anniversary Art Exhibition, which opened online on Saturday and will remain on display until October 2nd. The gallery received 2,129 entries from 34 different countries as well as from 41 states and the District of Columbia.

I began entering art competitions at lightspacetime.art over three years ago, in April 2017, and have received Special Merit and Special Recognition for 28 of my paintings to date. Proud to be in such good company, I’m especially happy to have JJ the Beast applauded before this painting of him leaves for Wisconsin this fall with our granddaughter Maddie—as a reminder of home and everything she loves.
